Outdoor Raas Garba

On Sunday Night we will be having a full outdoor Raas Garba with a live band of Shishukunj Members

Shishukunj 30th celebrations

Raas and Garba are the featured dances of Navratri evenings in Western India, originating in Gujarat and Sindh. Navratri is the longest Hindu festival celebrated all over India for nine consecutive nights in praise of Lord Rama (Hero of the Epic Ramayana) and Goddess Durga from the end of September to early October.

Shishukunj 30th celebrations

Every Navratri, Shishukunj holds it own garba with a live band entirely made up of its own baalako! This year at the mela there will be a full band with a variety of instruments performing Raasgarba songs for an amazing outdoor event! So come along and dance the night away!

Dont worry if you don't know how to do Garba or Raas, as we will be holding workshops at the dance stall to teach you these steps, so everyone can join in!
